How does a lash lift work with our J&B lash lift set?

A lash lift is similar to a perm for the eyelashes. The natural lashes are treated with various products to create a lasting curl. The effect is similar to using an eyelash curler. During the treatment, the natural lashes can also be tinted to further enhance the lifting effect. Unlike a lash perm, a lash lift lifts the natural lashes directly at the base, making them appear longer.

J&B Lashes products do not contain thioglycolic acid , which is very aggressive and alters the hair structure, but rather the milder alternative, ethanolamine thioglycolate. This ingredient comes from the same chemical family as thioglycolic acid and thus achieves the desired end result in a significantly gentler way.

This is how the J&B Lashes eyelash lift works with the eyelash lift set.

Clean your lashes thoroughly before beginning the treatment. Remove any makeup residue, preferably with our Lash Cleaner.
& Brow Cleanser or our Lash Shampoo. Then use our Primer. Also cleanse your eyelids to ensure they are free of oils. This guarantees optimal adhesion of the silicone pads throughout the entire treatment.

Place the eye pads under your eyes and cover your lower lashes. Make sure all lower lashes are covered.
Eye pads should be placed on the skin, otherwise you will lift them.

Place the silicone pads on your eyes to determine the correct size. For the ideal effect, the lashes should be two
third of the area lies on the silicone pads.

Now apply the adhesive to the back of the silicone pads and place them as close as possible to the lash line. Secure the pad.
Always start from the inner corner of the eye and work your way outwards towards the outer corner of the eyelid. Hold the silicone pads firmly for about 5 seconds so that the
Allow the adhesive to dry. The pad must be firmly in place and must not slip.

Apply the adhesive to the front of the silicone pads and use the lifting tool or Y-brush to firmly and straighten the lashes. Mentally divide the lash line into three small sections and start in the middle. Repeat this process section by section until all lashes are adhered straight to the silicone pad. Always work in small sections, as the adhesive dries very quickly. The lashes must be pulled firmly upwards so that the eyelid is visible. Ensure that all lashes are attached straight to the silicone pads, as the way you fix the lashes to the pads will determine the final result. If a few lashes need adjusting, first re-moisten the lashes requiring correction with a small amount of adhesive.

Step by step to breathtaking eyelashes

Now apply the Super Fast Perming Lotion Step 1 densely from the base to the middle of the lashes using a suitable applicator. The tips of the lashes should not come into contact with the lotion. Always start at the outer corner of the eye and work your way towards the inner corner. The processing time is 5-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of your natural lashes. Calculate the processing time for each eye separately so that each eye is treated with the lotion for the same amount of time.

After the application time, remove the lotion (Step 1) with a dry, lint-free applicator. Clean the lotion thoroughly so that no residue remains on the lashes and the silicone pad.

Fix and color in one step with the Fixing & Coloring Lotion

When tinting your eyelashes, mix the Fixing & Coloring Lotion 1:1 with the tint. Use equal amounts of tint and lotion.
Step 2. Please do not add any color developer (oxidant) to the mixture . If you do not wish to color your hair, you can of course use the lotion without color. Apply the lotion close to the
Apply from the base of the lashes to the tips. If you also want to tint the lower lashes, lift the eye pads that cover the lower lashes.
Cover the lash line and place it under the lower lashes. The lower lash line can now be treated simultaneously with the upper lashes.
The lashes will be tinted. Leave the lotion on for 6-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the lashes and the client's desired color intensity. 6-8 minutes is sufficient to set the color. For a particularly intense color result, we recommend increasing the processing time by a few minutes.

After the processing time, carefully remove the lotion with a lint-free applicator. Lukewarm water can be used for this. Only dampen the applicator, do not wet it. Ensure that no lotion or color residue remains on the lashes.

Carefully roll a damp microfiber stick between the silicone pad and your skin until the pad releases. Before carefully removing the pad, ensure all lashes are detached. The pad must be removed with utmost care. Then, remove any remaining adhesive with a damp cotton pad. Brush your lashes thoroughly from the base to the tip with a lash brush.

Optional: Now, apply a small amount of the Lash Botox 24kt Gold from the Lash Lifting Set thinly using a suitable applicator and leave it on for 1-2 minutes. Maintain a distance of approximately 2mm from the eyelid. Our Lash Botox 24kt Gold from our Lash Lifting Set is an intensive treatment for eyelashes. This lotion is rich in the finest and most valuable active ingredients, restoring lost vitamins and moisture to the eyelashes.

Optional: Next, apply the keratin and collagen lamination to your lashes using a suitable applicator and allow it to dry for 1-2 minutes. For best results, the lamination should remain on your lashes for at least 12 hours. After the keratin treatment, your lashes should not come into contact with water for at least 12 hours. Afterward, you can clean your lashes with lash shampoo.

The eyelashes must not come into contact with water for at least 12 hours after the treatment.

Error analysis:

The eyelashes lack curl.

• The eyelashes were not thoroughly cleaned.
• Too short an application time was chosen for the lotions
• The lotions were not applied correctly.
• Incorrect choice of size silicone pads.
• Product has expired.
• Antibiotics, hormone preparations and various medications can affect the effectiveness of the lotions.
• The customer has hormonal imbalances.

The eyelashes have too strong a curl.

• Please use larger silicone pads.

The eyelashes lack volume.

• Not enough paint was applied.
• Too light a color was chosen.

After 2 days, the eyelashes are back to how they were before the treatment.

• The customer came into contact with water or steam immediately after the treatment.

The lash lift/lamination did not last 6-8 weeks.

• This is due to the natural eyelash growth cycle. Eyelashes renew themselves approximately every 3 months.

The eyelash lift is uneven.

• Different application times for lotions; even one minute makes a difference to the result.
• The silicone pads were attached unevenly or incorrectly.
• The products were not applied correctly.
